About LARP UK
A plain-speaking guide to live roleplay in the UK, written by a player.
I’m Matt, and I’m based in Wiltshire. I LARPed for about ten years at Caerholm, a small system in Swindon, playing a Human Paladin who almost reached max level before the game closed for good. I plan to get back into LARP, either by finding a new game near home or by starting one of my own, and I’ll share how that goes here. I also run Roleplayers Toolkit, a site of guides and free printables for tabletop roleplayers.
LARP UK exists to help more people try the hobby. There’s a lot of great LARP in the UK, but if you’ve never been it can be hard to know where to start, what to pack, or which game would suit you. This site answers those questions in plain English.
If you’re new, the best place to start is what is LARP?, followed by your first LARP event and LARP kit for beginners.
The directory lists UK games with a link to each one’s own website. I check the links by hand and nobody pays to be listed. If you run a game and want it added or updated, get in touch.
