How LARP UK handles personal data: no tracking, no analytics, just emails you send and standard hosting logs.

Who runs this site
LARP UK (larpuk.co.uk) is run by Matthew Hart (Matt), based in Wiltshire, England. For anything about your personal data, email info@larpuk.co.uk.
What this site collects
Very little. There are no accounts for visitors, no comments, no newsletter, no adverts and no analytics or tracking tools. Fonts are served from this site’s own server, not from Google.
- Emails you send me. If you email me, I receive your email address and whatever you write. I use it only to reply and, if you asked, to update the directory. I keep emails for as long as they’re useful and delete them within two years.
- Server logs. Like every website, the hosting company (Hostinger) automatically records technical details of each visit, such as IP address, browser type and the page requested, to keep the site secure and working. These logs are kept for a short period and are not used to identify you.
Legal basis
Under UK data protection law (UK GDPR), I handle emails on the basis of legitimate interests (replying to you) and server logs on the basis of legitimate interests (security and running the site).
Who else sees your data
Only Hostinger, which hosts this website. I don’t sell or share your information with anyone else.
Links to other websites
The directory and guides link to other websites, including LARP organisers. Those sites have their own privacy policies, and I’m not responsible for them.
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct or delete any personal data I hold about you, or object to how I use it. Email info@larpuk.co.uk. If you’re unhappy with how I’ve handled your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
Changes
If this site adds anything new, such as a newsletter or analytics, this policy will be updated first, and anything that needs your consent will ask for it.
